VENUE - Desa Seni is a unique village-like community of listed original houses. The entire site has been very carefully cultivated with a magnificent range of tropical flowers and plants and homegrown vegetables, surrounded by wooden and stone sculptures, carvings and other antique and contemporary artefacts, which blend seamlessly into a relaxed indoor and outdoor museum-like collection. This creates a truly stunning environment, which includes a pool and patio area, two exceptional yoga salas, restaurant, boutique and a wellness centre with therapeutic treatments and a renowned resident naturopath.
Accommodation at Desa Seni is offered in listed original antique wooden houses that have been imported to the location after years of combing through various islands of Indonesia. Each house is detached and unique, has its own history and has been completely restored and refurbished with original Indonesian antique artefacts. The houses are surrounded by lush gardens, and most have their own verandas.
Accommodation options are in triple-share, twin/double-share and single rooms.
Desa Seni is about 10 minutes' walk from the beach and some boutiques and restaurants. It is a short drive from some of Bali's preferred surfing destinations and a short bus ride away fom a bus link to Seminyak, which is one of the best shopping areas in Bali.
Ubud is approximately 45 to 60 minutes' taxi ride from Desa Seni.
